Teach at Boiseko Ikastola

Boiseko Ikastola is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated instructors to join our teaching team for the 2027–2028 school year. 

Position Term: Early August 2027 – August 31, 2028 

Boiseko Ikastola is a Basque-language immersion preschool serving children ages 3–5. Our program provides a nurturing, creative, and language-rich environment where children can grow, explore, build relationships, and develop a lifelong connection to the Basque language and culture. 

At Boiseko Ikastola, children learn through play, exploration, hands-on experiences, and meaningful interactions. Our classrooms are thoughtfully organized with learning stations and inviting learning corners that encourage children to explore, create, move, experiment, and develop their skills at their own pace. 

Through stories, music, art, sensory play, movement, nature, and social experiences, our teachers support children's language development, independence, creativity, curiosity, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth. Euskara is at the heart of our daily experience, creating an immersive environment where children hear, use, and develop the language naturally throughout the school day. 

We are looking for educators who are passionate about working with young children, enthusiastic about language immersion, and excited to contribute to a warm and collaborative learning community. 

Minimum Qualifications 

Applicants should have: 

• University degree in Education, (Early Childhood Education preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  

• Fluency in Euskara C1

• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and preparation 

• Sufficient English-language skills to communicate effectively with the Director and parents 

• A genuine interest in working with young children in a play-based, hands-on learning environment 

• An interest in and appreciation for Basque language and culture

Translation Requirements 

Any documents that are not originally in English must include a Certificate of Translation. A professional translator is not required. The translation may be completed by someone who is fluent in English and can attest that they translated the document to the best of their ability and possess the necessary language skills.
