Nire izena Julene Lahuerta Larrabe da eta ez dakizue zein ilusio eta poza ematen didan abentura hau berriz hasteak. Bost urte eta gero, berriz ere Boiseko ikastolan naiz! Nire sustraiei, gure hizkuntzari eta kulturari diodan maitasunak ekarri nau berriro hona, etxean bezala sentiarazten nauen komunitate honetara.

Azken lau urte hauetan Algortako San Nikolas Ikastolan ibili naiz lanean Hezkuntza Bereziko irakasle moduan, batez ere Haur Hezkuntzan. Oso gustuko dut adin txikietan lan egitea eta prebentzioa egitea. Haur eta familien bidelaguna izateaz asko disfrutatzen dut.

Horrez gain, psikomotrizista naiz. Niretzat, psikomotrizitatea haurra bere osotasunean ikusteko begirada da: jolasaren eta mugimenduaren bidez, gorputzak, emozioek eta pentsamenduak bat egiten dute, haurrari bere bidea egiten lagunduz.

Eskolatik kanpo, asko gustatzen zait irakurtzea, lagunekin zein familiarekin egotea, bidaiatzea, mendia, natura, bizikleta… Naturan egoteak bake handia ematen dit: txiki sentitzen naiz bertan, ni baino zerbait handiagoaren aurrean nagoela sentiarazten nau. 

Besterik gabe, hemen agurtzen naiz. Ilusio handiz nago ikasturte zoragarri honi ekingo diogulako, euskal diasporaren haria ez eteteko nire hazitxoa jartzeko gogoz. Besarkada handi bat denoi!

My name is Julene Lahuerta Larrabe, and you have no idea how excited and thrilled I am to begin this adventure once again. After five years, I am back at the Boise Ikastola! My love for my roots, our language, and our culture has brought me back to this community, which always makes me feel right at home.

For the past four years, I have been working at San Nikolas Ikastola in Algorta as a Special Education teacher, mainly in Early Childhood Education. I love working with young children and focusing on early prevention. I truly enjoy guiding and supporting both children and their families along the way.

In addition, I am a Psychomotrician ( Psychomotor Development Specialist) . For me, is a way of seeing the child as a whole: through play and movement, the body, emotions, and thoughts come together to help children forge their own path.

Outside of school, I really enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, hiking in the mountains, being in nature, and riding my bike. Being in nature brings me great peace—it makes me feel small, grounded by the feeling of being part of something much bigger than myself.

That is all from me for now! I am eagerly looking forward to this wonderful school year and excited to plant my little seed to keep the thread of the Basque Diaspora alive.

Nire izena Ixone Aira Sánchez da eta aurten Boiseko Ikastolako irakasleetako bat izateko aukera izango dut. Oso pozik eta ilusio handiz nago abentura berri honi hasiera emateko eta Euskal Herritik milaka kilometrora gure hizkuntza eta kultura partekatzeko.

Bilbokoa naiz, eta betidanik oso lotuta egon naiz nire hiriarekin eta Euskal Herriarekin. Hala ere, bidaiatzea eta kultura desberdinak ezagutzea da gehien gustatzen zaidan gauzetako bat. Uste dut leku bakoitzak zerbait berria irakasten digula, eta esperientzia horiek pertsona zein irakasle gisa hazten laguntzen didatela.

Irakaslea naiz eta azken urteotan adin eta maila desberdinetako ikasleekin lan egiteko aukera izan dut, batez ere ingelesa irakasten. Horrez gain, iaz Oklahoman bizi eta lan egin nuen lehen hezkuntzako irakasle gisa. Esperientzia horrek hezkuntza sistema berri bat gertutik ezagutzeko aukera eman zidan, baita kultura desberdin batean murgiltzekoa ere. Harrezkero, are argiago daukat nazioarteko esperientziek asko aberasten gaituztela bai profesionalki bai pertsonalki.

Niretzat hezkuntza ez da soilik ezagutzak transmititzea; ikasleek konfiantzaz ikasteko, galderak egiteko eta euren gaitasunak garatzeko espazio segurua sortzea ere bada. Hizkuntzak mundua zabaltzeko ateak direla sinesten dut, eta horregatik ilusio berezia egiten dit euskara eta gure kultura Boiseko komunitatearekin partekatu ahal izateak.

Ziur nago ikasturte hau ikasteko, hazteko eta elkarrekin une ahaztezinak bizitzeko aukera paregabea izango dela. Laster arte!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ixone Aira Sánchez, and I am excited to be one of the new teachers at Boiseko Ikastola this year. I am truly looking forward to starting this new adventure and having the opportunity to share the Basque language and culture so far away from home.

I am from Bilbao, a city that I am very proud of and closely connected to. At the same time, one of my greatest passions is traveling and discovering different cultures. I believe that every place has something unique to teach us, and those experiences help me grow both as a person and as a teacher.

I have been working as a teacher with students of different ages and levels, mainly teaching English. Last year, I also had the opportunity to live and work in Oklahoma as an elementary school teacher. That experience allowed me to learn about a different educational system while immersing myself in a new culture. Since then, I have become even more convinced that international experiences enrich us both personally and professionally.

For me, education is not only about teaching academic content, but also about creating a safe and encouraging environment where children feel confident to learn, ask questions, and grow. I strongly believe that languages open doors to the world, and that is why I feel especially excited to share the Basque language and culture with the Boise community.

I am sure this school year will be full of learning, new experiences, and unforgettable moments together. I can't wait to meet you all!
